HVAC

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning units are usually the biggest energy users in any building. Ensuring they run effectively and to optimum efficiency can save buildings significant amounts of money as well as reducing their overall carbon output.

Whether HVAC is delivered as a combined system or separate, it plays a vital part in ensuring the building’s operation, is sometimes necessary for the building’s use, and is also fundamental for the comfort of the building’s occupiers.

Heating

Our team have experience with many different heating systems, keeping them operating to their best efficiency.

We cover all heating types from oil-fired appliances; gas, electric and combi boilers; renewable heating types such as heat pumps and solar panels; or a combination of them. Whatever the heating requirements, we can help to advise, design, install, maintain and monitor the system from beginning to end.

Ventilation

High quality ventilation is an increasing requirement for our built environment. Whether it’s due to climate change, pollution, or health related reasons, ventilation is necessary to help improve health by filtering internal air of germs, dust, pollutants or harmful chemicals.

This is especially beneficial for buildings in urban locations, or those with specific ventilation needs, such as food production, laboratories or healthcare. Though many residential and commercial spaces also have thorough ventilation requirements under today’s building regulations and standards.

Whether the space needs ventilation to operate or to simply satisfy the occupiers, it’s important to maintain, clean and service ventilation systems to keep them functioning at the necessary rate for human health.

Air Conditioning

Air conditioning units are typically used only a few months of the year but it’s important that they’re maintained all year round to avoid faults when you need them most and to meet legislation.

Where air conditioning units meet certain criteria (e.g. age and voltage), inspections are required to meet the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations to advise on where improvements can be made. Building owners also have statutory obligations and duties of care relating to the operation and maintenance of air conditioning units, which only regular inspections can provide.

We can help, from rerouting ductwork to provide fresh air circulation, repairing or upgrading existing units, or advising on the type or scale of the system upgrade required.
